The life span of GS400 tracks will vary depending on how you are using the GS400 and the conditions you are using it in. Listed are some things that will reduce the life of the tracks: 1) If the GS400 is consistently running at high speeds. 2) If you are using the Traction Control to stop slippage. 3) If the tracks are not being cleaned before and after each usage the build up of sand, dirt and grit will be abrasive to the rubber of the tracks. 4) If the cable is carrying dirt or sand into the GS400 this will also be abrasive to the tracks. 5) If the GS400 is not being stored in its case out of the elements the tracks can dry and become brittle over time.

To give a general answer the average length you can blow fiber using the GS400 is between 3000-5000 ft. However, there are many variables that can influence this both positively and negatively. Some of the things will include: Terrain- If the terrain is flat and the duct is able to lay flat your distances can increase. However, rocky, hilly or uneven terrain can crush your duct or create an excessive amount of bend which increases friction. Proper/Improper coupling- Properly coupled duct will allow for better, increased air flow which will flow the fiber longer distances and give you better results we recommend our Comfit or Transfit couplers for the best results. Finally, poor duct integrity will stop a run cold. If there are impurities on the inside of the duct, kinks or crushed points, the fiber may not be able to move past that point stopping the run immediately.
